The Sugar Bowl #69 ~ Gayles Sketch

 A very good morning to one and all....today my hubby and I have been married 27 years......

Happy Anniversary "MY" Andy

Today we also have another challenge for you over on


GAYLE has provided the fabby sketch for us this time with the theme being an inspirational picture.
The prize of 4 Pick n Mix stamps to only lucky winner increasing to 6 stamps if we reach 100 entries.


I have coloured HEAVENLY ANGEL by SUGAR NELLIE using Spectrum Noir pens and paper pieced her too just for a wee change. Embossed background with Stampin Up folder.......
The Lush LACE and RIC RAC are from SEW SWEET



 I added some Star Dust stickles to the cloud for a little added sparkle :) isn't she such a cutie?

The Sugar Bowl #68 ~ Kikis Sketch

 A very good morning...can't believe 2 weeks have gone by again. Apologies for my lack of blogging this week as I have a sore throat and my mojo seems to have left the building.
Anyways we have a fabulous sketch for you again over on 

THE SUGAR BOWL by the lovely KIKI

and the theme is Autumn.

The prize for one lucky peep, chosen at random will pick a pick of 4 Sweet stamps rising to 6 stamps if we get 100 or more entries. Easy peasy lemon squeazy but you have to be in it to win it!

 

Best Witches is coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. The papers are retired Stampin Up. I doodled the cobwebs for effect. The bats and spider are by  Cuttlebug. I made the pumpkin using the Stampin Up oval punch.

The Sugar Bowl #67 ~ Erikas Sketch

 A very good morning peeps and it's time for another challenge from the sweeties over on


We have a fabaroonie sketch by Erika this time and her chosen them is use scraps.

The prize is as always fantastico no-one does prizes like SUGAR NELLIE

Now you can imagine with me being a White on White girl that i have loads of scrap bits of white card so this theme was perfect for me lol. I stamped Furry Friends by Sugar Nellie and coloured using my Speccies. Lots of cuttlebugging and black gingham paper from Pink Petticoat. The delish ribbon is from SEW SWEET


 Martha Stewart branch punch is seemingly hard to come by at the moment according to a few emails I have had however I found one for you and I have linked it below.

The Sugar Bowl #65 ~ Sketch by Maria Therese

 Morning folks, time again for another fabby challenge from the SWEETIES over on


Thank you to everyone who played along last time....great to see multiple entries :D

We have a fabulous sketch for you this time by the lovely Marie Therese and she has chosen the theme of Blue The prize on offer is, 4 stamps of the winners choice with that rising to 6 for over 100 entries!
you have to be in it to win it.


I have stamped FURRY FRIENDS by Sugar Nellie using memento ink onto Neenah cardstock and coloured using my Spectrum Noir pens. I added glamour dust for some sparkle. The papers are by Craftwork Cards which were a freebie in my magazine and I added some faux stitching around the edge for effect using a Whispers Pen. I punch my border using Eyelet border punch from Stampin Up. The gingham ribbon is by Anitas.


A reminder too that the fabby GAYLE Sugar Nellie's very own Design Team Co-Ordinator is looking for more peeps to join her already fabulous Design Team have you got what she wants:

The Sugar Bowl #63 ~ Erikas Sketch

 Its time again for another fabby sketch from THE SUGAR BOWL I just can't believe how the weeks fly by!

We have a fab sketch for you by our  lovely ERIKA and Erika has chosen handmade flowers for her theme.

The prize on offer is 4 Sugar Nellie stamps however, this will increase to 6 if we get 100+ entries.

 

I have used Spread You Wings by Sugar Nellie
coloured using Prismacolor pencils
The backing is embossed using my Vintage wallpaper Stampin Up  embossing folder
I added a piece of striped twill ribbon.



 I have made my flowers from FELT from SEW SWEET using my Tim Holz flowers die
I have layered them and sewn a button in the centre.

The Sugar Bowl #62 ~ Marlene's Sketch

 A very good morning peeps and yes its time for another fabby sketch from the sweeties over on

THE SUGAR BOWL

We have a fabulous sketch for you by the uber talented Marlene and the theme is "Summer" and of course the prize well its amazing


 The full set of 5 Sherbet Pips stamps by SUGAR NELLIE..... WOWEEE how fab is that!! but as always you have to be in it to win it!

Here is my interpretation of Marlene's fabby sketch.


I have used Simply Sassy Winking Student by Sugar Nellie and coloured her using a mixture of Promarkers and prismacolor pencils. The papers are from my new Humphrey CD rom which i lurv so much.


I doodled the sentiment and added some doodling around the edge of the image for effect. Some card candi to finish and voila! I'm really pleased with how this card has turned out, whatcha think? Please pop by my fellow sweeties blogs and see their stunning creations and leave them some lurv.

The Sugar Bowl #61 ~ Kikis Sketch

A very good morning peeps its time from another challenge from the talented sweeties over on

THE SUGAR BOWL

We have a fantastic sketch for you by the talented Kiki and our theme is Love/Wedding. and of course the prize is 6  Sugar Nellies stamp Pick N Mix for one lucky winner chosen at random.

Here is my take on Kikis fabby sketch.

 

As you can see I didn't follow the theme this time.....can you believe i have no love or wedding Sugar Nellie images oh my....must sort that out lol.

 

I love this manga Rock Idol he is my favourite of the Mangas. Coloured using prismacolor pencils
The stars are kraft cut out on my Cricut. The letters are Forever Friend stickers.

 

I used cuttlebug embossing folders to add some interest to the sections of the sketch. The red card is from The Papeterie....fabulous quality card at amazing prices! So whatcha think?

The Sugar Bowl #60 ~ Sugar Mammas Birthday

A very good morning to one and all. It's SUGAR BOWL time again but first i would like to wish my SUGAR MAMMA a very Happy Birthday 21 today! :D  For those who have not met GAYLE she is the nicest, kindest, fun person you could meet. She has a heart of gold and I'm so lucky to have her as a friend! Luvs ya sweet cheeks!
....so this challenge we have a sketch from Maria Therese and Gayle has chosen the theme this time "Birthday"

I have used Butterflies and Pigtails by SUGAR NELLIE and coloured her using promarkers and prismacolor pencils. the red gingham is stamped using my Waltzingmouse Stamps Gingham and Co stamp set. Swiss dots cuttlebug folder. I have used flowers, ribbon and Ric Rak I received in my RAK from the lovely and uber talented Debbi and the gems are Papermania. I finished off with some stickles and a Martha Stewart punched butterfly and leaves.

The Sugar Bowl #59

Morning Peeps it's time for another challenge from the fabby Sweeties over on

THE SUGAR BOWL

Fabaroonie prize on offer as always.......the prize for this challenge is a 'steam punk' gift bag including stamps, charms and embossing folders. Fab or what?

This time we have a sketch by the lovely Erika and her theme is distressing! Yes I was distressed at the thought of it. I love WHITE lol. A fabby sketch Erika thank you and after I got over the initial distressing shock this is what I came up with.


I have used "Party Frills" by Sugar Nellie and coloured her using Prismacolor pencils. The papers are Vintage Rose by Pink Petticoat and the doily I received in a RAK from the lovely CATHY mwah.

Well today I start work after a very long time away..... I'm so excited. Wish me luck! Next best thing to a craft shop a Toy Shop :D

The Sugar Bowl #58 ~ Sketch by Marlene

 A very good morning peeps. Time for another challenge from the ever so talented sweeties from


We have a wonderful sketch from the uber talented Marlene this time....thanks sweetie! With the theme being "Buttons" and the prize I hear you ask......well its a set of Spellbinders Fancy Tags 2 annd Hero Arts "Find Joy" Stamp Set. You have to be in it to win it!

Here is my interpretation of Marlene's fabby sketch


I decided to ink up Hippie Chick from the Simply Sassy range by SUGAR NELLIE this time I think she has to be my all time favourite Sassy girl. I've coloured her using my Prismacolor pencils and the odd polychromos pencils too. I've used my new Sizzix Stampin Up embossing folder Vintage Wallpaper again....sorry peeps you are gonna see a lot more of this baby and teamed it up with Swiss Dots for a White on White creation.


The buttons are from my stash and I have threaded them using Stampin Up thread. Paper pierced holes at the corner for effect and voila! Hope you like.

The Sugar Bowl #57 ~ Maria Therese Sketch

A very good morning can't believe that 2 weeks have flown by again. Which means another fabby challenge from the sweeties...over on


We have a fabaroonie sketch from Maria Therese thanks sweetie with the theme being Purple and Green

and as always the prize is amazing.........This time you can win a full set of Simply Sassy set 6 stamps and a set of new nestabilites.

I have used Dress Up Games from the home manga range at SUGAR NELLIE and coloured her using promarkers and prismacolor pencils, cut her out and popped her on dimensionals for effect. Lots of embossing with my bug using Swiss Dots and Blooms and Dots.


I have lots to be catching up on today....never enough hours in the day at the moment.

The Sugar Bowl #56

Morning Sugar Addicts....it's Thursday yeah another challenge from the sweeties over on
Kiki has design a fabulous sketch for us this time with the Theme being "Think Pink" ( I can hear ya screaming from here Cathy :D)
The prize as always is the best in town......a box of pink crafting goodies for the lucky winner!


For my card I have used LITTLE BOOTS by Sugar Nellie and coloured her using a mixture of Inkadinks, Twinkling H2Os and Cosmic Shimmer Watercolours. The paper I have used is from S.W.A.L.K CD Rom volume 1 and the pink card is from The Papeterie. The flowers, ribbon and gems are all from my stash. The sentiment is by Stampin Up stamped in Close to Cocoa Stampin Up ink. Martha Stewart border punch. The card size is 6" square.

Jack and I had the most amazing day yesterday we were out nearly the whole day as it was so nice. We ended up down the beach. Not much planned for today......my Arthritis is playing up a bit so gonna have a me day. The joys of doing too much yesterday but that wee cutie is worth every ache and pain.

I have used "Grow you Own" by Mary Hall and coloured him using Aqua markers by Letraset.
I have to admit the idea for the shed came from my adorable hubby Andy! Hands off Gayle he is all mine LOL

The Sugar Bowl #54 ~ Lilians Sketch

A very good morning and yipee another challenge for the sweeties over on the SUGAR BOWL. It's Lilian's sketch this time and what a beauty it is too.........and the theme "Clean and Simple" *squeal* How excited was I when I saw the theme for this one he he.

I've used another of the new soon to be released Mary Hall stamps from SUGAR NELLIE
Isn't she a cutie?
Coloured using Promarkers. I have added some embossed cross hatch using my Ultimate Pro. The card blank is by Craftwork Cards. I have been asked which white card I use for my cards I buy Craftwork Cards card blanks and the basic card pack too. Fab quality. I also use Whisper white by Stampin Up too. The punched border is Martha Stewart doily punch...some embossed line top and bottom to finish.

The Sugar Bowl #53 ~ Marlenes Sketch

 Happy Thursday peeps!
It's time for another challenge from the sweeties over on THE SUGAR BOWL
This time we have a fabby sketch by the uber talented Marlene who has a fabby new abode. We have an inspirational photo to use as your option. I haven't followed the photo this time as I'm a numpty and forgot. Senior moment and all that. We have a fabaroonie prize for you again this time..........well actually 2 prizes again this time. Two winners will get to choose 6 stamps of their choice...wooweeee how fab is that?


 I have used Bella Bunting and coloured her using Aqua markers by Letraset. The papers are the scrumptious new Pink Petticoat 6 x 6 papers free with Quick Cards this month. Liz also has it available as a download too. Nellie Choice Square die and the card on top which is just trimmed down to fit, is embossed using swiss dots embossing folder by cuttlebug. I have been doodling again too.


 I adore Bella isn't she just the cutest? Stay tuned to all the news from Sugar Nellie over on the BLOG Karen is giving sneak peaks of the new soon to be released stamps including the new Simply Adorables....there are boys this time too :D

The Sugar Bowl ~51

 A very good morning to one and all. Time for another fabby sketch challenge from the sweeties over on  THE SUGAR BOWL. This time we have a fabby sketch by Kiki thanks sweetie. The option this time being "Birthday"
The fabulous prize on offer this time is....... a "Mystery Prize" but you can guarentee it will as sweet as anything.
I just had to use another one of my Sassy stamps again. I LOVE this image Pillow Talk....mmmmm me thinks I LOVE them all lol.


Thought it was about time I made another WOW card (white on white)
I have watercoloured my image using Inkadinks oh my word they are fab and i was mixing the colours too. Thanks Elaine mwah. I have added a few bits of Twinkling H20s to her hair just to darken it up a bit.
I really am loving watercolouring at the moment aren't I he he.



 The sentiment is by Stampin up as is the oval punches. Cuttlebug divine swirls embossing folder. Martha Stewart Doily punch around the edge. I used my paper corragator that I've had for an age, hmm need to use this more likey likey. Bling added to the corners and voila!

The Sugar Bowl #50

 HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY SUGAR BOWL

At the stroke of midnight when we see in the New Year it will be 2 years since GAYLE started the first challenge over on The Sugar Bowl....how time flies. I remember bringing in the bells then dashing for the PC to see what the first challenge was...if I remember correctly it was a fabby sketch by Tiets.

It is a true honour to now be a part of this talented team of sweeties.

Here is my take on Marlene sketch which i flipped....


 I have used Luv a Latte for my card and I have watercoloured her for a wee change.
 Isn't she adorable...I'm really loving these new Sassy stamps once you start colouring them they are addictive......watch this space........


 I have added a couple of Marianne Design Creatables corners allthough I think they might just be a wee bitty overpowering lol. Divine swirls embossing folder by Cuttlebug and a Nellies Choice multiframe die. The design paper is K & Co. The punched corners were achieved using a X-Cut corner punch. I popped my image on foam pads to make her stand out. I lurvs her she is one of my Sassy favourites.

The Sugar Bowl #49 ~ Maria Therese Sketch

 A very good morning peeps. Thursday again wow I can't believe that the days and weeks are flying by.

It's SUGAR BOWL TIME

Fabulous entries from our last challenge, thank you for playing along. This time we have another fantastic sketch by the lovely Maria Therese  and the option is SNOWFLAKES. Hmmm quite apt at the moment don't ya think.This girls sketch's rock and I loved this one and I wasn't scared either I was a brave girl lol. For those who don't know sketches scare me...just a tad.

I have used this fabby snowman Snow Cozy and coloured him using promarkers. I quite fancy the Aquamarkers, have you tried them...what do you think of them?. Any info would be appreciated. Anyway the papers I think are by Papermania I received them in a RAK last year. If you know the name I would appreciate it thanks. I have inked around the edges with a chalk inkpad.



 I dug out my fiskars threading water punch for a change and used the snowflakes cuttlebug folder. I've added a few punched snowflakes and dotted stardust stickles randomly for some sparkle.

The Sugar Bowl #48

 A very good morning it's Thursday :D yeah and time for another challenge from


Thanks to everyone who joined in our last challenge.

This time we have a super sketch by the uber talented Marlene....thanks sweetie ..love it.

We have an added extra too if you wish to use which is Black, White and 1 Colour of your choice.
I decided not to add the extra option this time.

We have a fabaroonie prize on offer too..........a set of Nesties Classic Scalloped Squares and wait for it....... A sheet of not yet released Alice in Wonderland stamps from Leanne Ellis...Wow Wow Wow!!

Here is my interpretation of Marlene's fab Sketch...hope you like.


I have coloured Sweet As Candy with inkpads.
I've been practising my colouring with distress inks and I'm delighted with the effects this time.
I do have a limited number of colours just now but I've also been using my Stampin Up inkpads and I'm loving the results. 


The papers I've used are Cosmo Cricket and swiss dots embossing folder. Basic Grey buttons finished with SU thread. the large paperclip is from my stash. I attacked the edges of the card and papers with my scissors for a distressed look which I actually like. So there we have it.

also the SIMPLY SASSY GIRLS Set 2 is now available from Funky Kits be quick though as they are flying off the shelves.
