Gingerbread Madness

A very good afternoon its been a bit hectic here at the moment my daughter was admitted to hospital on Saturday with suspected Appendicitis however that was quickly rule out and she was kept in over night for observation and tests...after a diagnostic laparoscopy they discovered fluid in her pelvis, thankfully after a trip  to theatre she is on  the mend and staying with us to be pampered.

Today's creation is using up stash that I have had for a while....

Isn't that Gingerbread Man the cutest he is by DCWV

The papers were from my stash so I'm unsure sorry

I've used my fiskars punch for border

I love popping things up to give the card dimension

I have added some stickles around the edge......

I hand stitched around the inner paper you can find out how I do this HERE

and added some Card Candy. Hope you like

The papers are by Stampin Up and the card for matting is by DCWV. the large flower is made by layering up Prima flowers and then adding a brad in the center. The border is a Marianne Design Creatable again cut out in DCWV cardstock. I have used a Paintbox Poppets Sentiment to finish off.

Forever Friends

 Another post from me today.....and an update on my Slimming World Journey......I lost 1 lb today gaining my half stone award....woooohoooooo......i am delighted to say the least! Everyone has been so encouraging anf thanks to you all its keeps me going,

I adore Forever Friends and when I was asked to make 2 baby cards one was for the grandparents so i got out my fabulous Forever Friends CD Rom.

gingham paper again is from PINK PETTICOAT...I have embossed a panel using Papermania Yachts folder i think this is the first time i have used this and it really is super. the decoupage as i have said is from the CD. I made bunting with the PP paper....the alphabet stickers are by American Crafts and DCWV which I coloured using Promarkers to get the desired colours as they were white!

Happy 2nd Birthday Jack ~ Ka Chow

Happy Birthday to Jack, Happy Birthday to Jack, Happy Birthday handsome monkey Happy Birthday to you!!!!

I can't believe that today is my adorable grandson Jacks second birthday! My how time flies. 2 years ago my gorgeous daughter had the most terrible time while in labour (for a week) she went non responsive in the labour suite and then Jack was struggling and she had to have an emergency section! I am truly blessed and very thankful for my faith as the big guy himself kept them both safe. I have never been so scared in all my life as I was this day 2 years ago. I was also the first person to hold Jack. No skin contact though and I held him over to Kirstin as he was screaming his lungs off LOL she stroked his face with the tears running down hers and then Jack and I were whisked away as complications occurred during the section so Kirstin had to be knocked out completely and work carried out as her bowel kept collapsing. Boy was it a relief to see her in recovery. But that was then and this is now! All is well and Jack is a happy climbing wee monkey at the moment we have the odd terrible 2 moment but on the whole he is great. He is mad on CARS if I had a pound for every time he says Car, Cars, Truck,Van in a day I'd be loaded lol. Anyway here is his card

Yup the movie CARs is his favourite at the moment and I must admit I do enjoy watching it too and seeing his wee face light up.

I have used DCWV papers and all card stock is from The Papeterie

The Letter are Forever Friends these really are super.

Martha Stewart Zig-Zag punch and some card candi.

The card is A5

I normally have Jack on a Tuesday however he is with his daddy this morning and I will take over at lunch to let daddy go back to work. We are having a small family get together later so I'll go up and prepare all the goodies.

Sundays for Santa #9 and #10 ~ Playing Catch up

Evening peeps normally I don't post on a Monday however I was creating quickie cards this morning before I left as I'm playing catch up for Sunday's for Santa our Facebook group. Now I should have continued for where I stopped but no not me LOL so this is for week 9 the theme was "Oh Christmas Tree"

A very quick card using a few of my favourite things!

Gingham paper form Pink Petticoat, Card from The Papeterie

and the embossing folder was a freebie from the Do-Crafts magazine a while back! I love it! Papermania Gingham ribbon and Papermania gems to finish. I have popped the middle section up on dimensionals for effect!

This is week 10's card the theme was Gingerbread.

I have used the same gingham paper as before and swiss dots embossing folder for effect.

The chipboard gingerbread man and candy cane are by DCWV.

The gingham ribbon is Papermania and card candi to finish.

Penny Black ~ Men

Another post from me this morning boy I'm on a roll. the fabby Penny Black Saturday challenge are asking for Mens cards this week. Now most willl groan at this challenge however I LOVE making mens cards. I'm not sure if its because I adore Clean and Simple but i don't find it difficult to make a mans card. anyway here is my attempt for this weeks challenge.

I have used DCWV papers and Crumb cake card which marry very nicely indeed. the image was received in a RAK but I do have the clear version of it. I coloured Puss in using Prismacolor pencils

I have been paper piercing again this was my favourite technique of 2011 and i love the effect that it achieves. the wine I won on the fabaroonie Kaths blog and the button is from my stash. the sentiment is  by Forever Friends.

*Edited to say ROFLOL Kath actually sent me TWINE not wine!..... what am I like..note ot self PROOFREAD before publishing however your comments did make me laugh though thank you :D

Sugar Nellie Design Team ~ Little Farmer

Another one of the new Sugar Nellie designs coming very soon. Little Farmer is one of the new Counrty Cousins stamps that will be released in the coming weeks. Isn't he just the cutest. this stamp is a must for all those difficult cards for men and boys.

I have coloured Little Farmer using my aqua markers and then I trimmed asround the image and mounted on an embossed Happy Birthday background. The design paper is by DCWV and I've added some paper piercing in the top corners for effect.

I have used Forever Friends letters these really are great value and they supply loads of letters. Love them.

Blue Card Candi (note spelling) from Craftwork Cards and Dovecraft brads to finish off.

The Sugar Bowl #32 ~ A sketch by you

A very good morning to one and all. Today is my gorgeous hubbies birthday. Happy Birthday, mwaaaah. We are off bowling in a bit....I think I'll let him win today as it's his birthday :lol:

The challenge on The Sugar Bowl this time is to choose a sketch that you like from previous Sugar Bowl challenges. I chose this one from challenge 20 by the lovely Yummy Mummy herself Gayle :D

I have used this scrummy cutie called Chick-A-Dee she is adorable.

I have coloured Chick-A-Dee with my promarkers, still need more practise but I'm getting there I think. The paper is DCWV and barely banana card stock yum yum. I have used my MS Doily punch today for a change. The flowers are from my stash and the leaves are a Woodware punch.

This card is for my daughters easter no fear of her reading my blog so she won't see it :lol: Well that's it from me today...please remember the clocks go forward one hour tonight. If you're traveling to NEC have fun..and a safe journey. See you in the morning for Just Cute Bears. TTFN.

Cupcake Craft Challenges ~ Red & Green

 A very good afternoon from a freezing Scotland. Brrr it is so cold I have seized up not good having Arthritis but hey "That's Life" as Frank would say.

No stamping on my card today as I'm using up stash. This cute little fellow was bought in Poundland a few years ago and fits the challenge perfectly when teamed up with scrummy DCWV papers from my stash.

I'm still busy creating away here but I'm starting to wilt lol.

Just Magnolia ~ Sketch

Afternoon from a very wet and dull island today. Thank you to each and everyone of you who took the time to leave a comment wishing my dad a speedy recovery, it means allot thank you. Dad is still in hospital however no more pains which is fantastic. He is getting an exho sound done today so hopefully we willl know maore later today or tomorrow.

On to todays card which is for this weeks fabby Just Magnolia Challenge A fabulous sketch by Mina. I have used one on my new Tildas ohh how adorable is she? and combined her with my new Nellies Choice Multiframe die (love these) and excellent value for money too.

I have coloured her using my prismacolor pencils
and added lots of bling over the snowflakes.

I decided not to go for a tradional Christmas coloured card
and for a wee change used DCWV papers lol

Cute Card Thursday ~ Glitter Me Silly

A very good evening. What a day escaped the island today to go and do some Crimbo shopping and visited my Mum while I was away. I raided her craft stash lol and came away with FF stamps lol..... no seriously Mum gave them to me...honest :D

My arms are still sore from my jags however that didn't stop me from making this card for this weeks Cute Card Thursday the theme being Glitter Me Silly. Well you don't need to tell me twice and I'm reaching for the Stickles lol.

Penny Black image I received from the lovely Jackie in my candy win (mwah thank you honey), is coloured with prismas and I have used my SU matt pack and paper piercer (again)

Todays card is for my Mum as I bought Craft gift vouchers for her today so I will add a pocket to the inside and put the vouchers in. Will show you it when it's finished.

Well my PJs are now on and I'm off to order some stamps *huge grin* as hubby got his crimbo pressie today a very expensive new camera oh yes some scrummy rubber will be coming my way tonight me thinks...I hope...lol

Distressed Edwin

A very good morning, bit of a rush this morning been phoned at the last minute to step into a place at the bowling so trying to do a million things at once. Lol I'm drying my hair ans trying to type at the same time doh.

Today's card is for this weeks challenge on Just Magnolia which is Distressing. A fabulous tutorial by Chris. Poor Edwin is distressed as he has fallen and hurt himself and needs big hugs. Was raiding the stash again and found old stash so using it up. DCWV papers and my goodness mulberry papers lol goodness knows when I bought them. Anyway well worth a visit to see the stunning examples from the JM DT this week.

Papermania Christmas Bauble

I have been trying to use up lots of my unused stash recently to make room for more SU goodies :D This was a DCWV embossed card blank I found when rummaging through my stash. I'm so disorganised at the moment :( but getting there. I stamped the Papermania bauble stamp using real red onto the card stock and then stamped it again and cut out to 3D the baubles. This stamp has extra bits on it however I trimmed them off so I was left with just the bauble. Some paper piercing around the edge of the embossed area was added for effect. The text was computer generated and SU punches to punch out. Simple but effective and yes still having a red phase at the moment :D Well that's it from me today I'm away to carry on with the creations for my sale in December can't believe that's nearly a year since the last one, how time flies.

Forever Friends - Sketch

The challenge this week over on Forever Friends is a fab sketch by Sandra. This sketch was perfect for a Father’s Day card I needed for the hubby from Emma.

The inside says “Dad you have a Heart of Gold”

Fabulous examples form the DT again this week. I love these little bears and this challenge is one of my favourites and I try to take part when I can.

The chipboard letters are glitterd but you can’t really see that from the picture. The star was covered in Anitas glue and then blue glitter applied and left to dry.

~ Today’s Tip – By adding glitter or paint to chipboard shapes you can co-ordinate your shapes to match your papers. ~

Friday sketchers meets Forever Friends

This weeks sketch on Friday Sketchers is by Heidi, loved this one. Perfect for a male card with not a lot of fuss. Fabby cards from the talented DT. I have used this cutie Forever Friends stamp, which means it fits in perfect with this weeks challenge over on Forever Friends which is Birthday boy. Fab wee challenge and fabby examples from the DT. I have used my lyra crayons to coloour the image and add some pearly paints on top. Not happy with the colouration at all on this one however I have done worse.

Jack was fabulous and slept all night at 8 weeks old fab isn’t it. I tell you though he makes up that feed he misses during the night

B is For..........

Well here we are again Wednesday and another letter of the alphabet on ABC boy are the weeks just flying by at the moment. This week we have a guest designer with us and it is the very talented and lovely BEV Bev is one of the most talented people I have ever seen, I found her years ago when she had a website but didn't realise until late last year that is who she was. Here is my little number for Blue and Brown isn't he so cute I just couldn't resist when I saw that Kim had got these stamps in the shop. Adorable. Out came the See Ds stamps too "Stitch of fun" for the buttons and stamped with Close to Cocoa (Scrummy) I used my Geo punch for the border (love this punch).
