Flutter By Wednesday

A very warm welcome tonight boy is it windy miller today. We ventured off the island today as it was calm this morning we later got a phone from my daughter to say the school children were being sent home from school as the ferries could go off. Luckly we are home safe and sound.

Todays card is for this weeks Flutter By Wednesday challenge which has an open theme this week.

Sometime Mr Mojo likes to go a wandering when I'm  making my "Cute" cards so i like to take a step back and just have a play without having to colour in an image if you know what I mean. I luv making cards wether it be cute or non cute. I have used my favourite Cuttlebug butterfly set and the papers are by Pink Petticoat The oval stamp is by Papermania and I stamped it using versafine black onyx and then trimmed around the outer edge.

The pearls are Hero Arts, the punch by Stampin Up and the seam binding by The Ribbon Girl (thanks Bev)
I must apologise to my facebook buddies for not being about as much this week. I'm trying to cut back on time spent browsing...wasted time when it can be spent crafting.

Hope to catch up soon

Whatever you are doing this evening......enjoy! Ali x

Sugar Nellie Design Team ~ Best Witches

Morning peeps boy its a wild one here this morning, not nice at all. Today's card is another of my Sugar Nellie design team creations this time using the fabulous Simply Sassy Best Witches she was so much fun to colour, isn't she just so cute.

I have coloured in Best Witches using Inkadinks...I did struggle a bit making up the colour for the skin but with some perseverance I managed it. the pigment of colour in these inkadinks are fabulous so less really is more if you have never tried them before, you need to build up the colour gradually. The papers are by Pink Petticoats Perfect Papers again (lurvs these)

More doodling today
and I've added some paper piercing too on two of the corners for added effect. Stampin Up twine and a basic grey button.

The challenge over on Stamptacular Sunday this week is "Whateva" and Totally Stampalicious are saying "Hello"

Well peeps I'm watching Jack this afternoon so it'll be a day in the house with that favourite Mouse Mickey and his  funclub i think.

Don't forget that the lovely Maria and her team of  Simply Sassy's have their own blog and provide sensational inspiration regularly, catch  up with them HERE

Whatever you are doing today......enjoy! Ali x

I have used the sketch from Friday Sketchers for this one a fabulous sketch by Jorunn.

I have coloured Verity using my Promarkers for a change. The theme this week on Passion for Promarkers is Let it Shine so gems and glitter are the order of the day...I love adding stardust stickles to my cards for that glamour effect and gems have been added to the corners. . The papers are by Pink Petticoat from the latest release Perfect Papers

I have coloured Skater Girl using my Aqua markers by Letraset. There is something very theraputic about watercolouring I think. I have completly forgot the colours I used but from now on I will list the colours for you, if this will help. The papers are by Pink Petticoat from the latest new release. I love Liz's papers they always print a treat and the designs are always fabulous. I have embossed the inner circle using Swiss Dots by Cuttlebug the sentiment is from my stash can't remember who makes it sorry.
A few doodles around the edge and voila!

Penny Black Saturday - Recipe 3..2..1

It's a Recipe this week on Penny Black Saturday
  • 3.... Flowers
  • 2.... Papers
  • 1.... Ribbon
If you haven't already been over to peek at the DT examples i would highly recommend it they are a very talented bunch.

My card is for my MIL birthday tomorrow and I think she we love this card. Less sometimes is more. I think that we can get carried away with what we put on our cards and I think the image should be the main focus of the card. Everyone is different though, so this is only my opinion and the world would be a very boring place if we were all the same. My hubby says god help us if there are 2 of me in the world. I have absolutely no idea what he is on about, lol. Well i hope you like my card, I'm off now to make MIL & FIL crimbo card and the girls crimbo cards too. Lets hope i can work them around a wee challenge too. Have a fab evening and thanks for stopping by.

  • Stamp - Penny Black flowers, Penny Black butterfly
  • DP - Pink Petticoat
  • Embellies - Ribbon from stash
  • Sakura pen, cheapie pearl paints (like H2os)
*Please excuse poor quality of picture getting a decent photo just now is a nightmare, hubby is on the job building a lightbox soon i hope! Keeps him out of trouble for a wee while.*
