It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

A very good morning folks, thank you for all your lovely comments yesterday...I glad you are enjoying my other creations too so I'll keep sharing with you. Christmas is well and truly on the way at "The House Of Pooh Corner" (that's what I call my house ;) ) Gifts are being made and cards are also under way...however I did do just a tad much yesterday...so I'm banished to the sofa for the day so I'm beading and knitting today.

So onto todays card......

I've been using my Forever Friends Krafty Notes again

I have used Centura Pearl card however I've used the non shiny side as its pure white ;)

I embossed using Embossalicious Petite Dot folder

Lots of dimension on this one.....

Gingham ribbon...*sigh* I just loves it!

I've used my cuttlebug snowflakes and Martha Stewart branch punch to add detail.

Happy Birthday Kirstin

Afternoon folks....today is my eldest daughters Birthday. I can't believe she is 26 today...it feels like only yesterday, this gorgeous girl came into the world and blessed our lives.

Words cannot describe how fabulous she is...the most loving, caring, strong, crazy person you can meet. 

I love her to the moon and back!

Now Kirstin is not a girly girl at all, when she was younger she was at her happiest up a tree, normally hanging upside down from it by her t-shirt. Swimming, playing football and wearing her trackies and a baseball cap...no pink dresses for my girl. Purple is however her favourite colour..so here is her card...

Girly but not too girly.....I love Gorjuss things....

Happy Anniversary Wishes

A very good afternoon, sunny day here on the island today (at the moment lol). 

Last Sunday Mr W and I were celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary...poor guy has had to put up with me all these years..and if you have met him you will know that he is one on a million. He is my soulmate, my rock and my friend....and he also knows his crafty stuff too..bonus!

This was the Forever Friends card that I made for him.....

Cream deckled edge card and I printed a Forever riends topper from my CD. I have used the music stamp from Background Builder stamp set by Clearly Besotted Stamps and the sentiment is from  For Everyone stamp set. The doily is lush its by dovecraft as is the ribbon...I think i bought them from The Range ages ago.

I have so much to make and I really do need to start getting myself in gear and getting on with it so watch this space hopefully lots more posts to follow in the near future.

Krafty Christmas

As promised I'm back with a card to share this time....now for those who know me well know of my love for Forever Friends I just {Heart} those bears :) so when I saw Krafty Notes released by Do~Crafts I just had to have them....I bought the Ultimate Decoupage Kit always great value and just keeping on going!

I just fell in love with this image...adorable.

Doily is from Dovecraft as is the ribbon which is lush I have to say!

I distressed around the edges of my paper before adding some paper piercing.

The stamped sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Stamps For Everyone stamp set

I've added my signature Flowersoft snow and glamour dust and 

also added a few wee details of bells, ferns and an organza bow..lush!

Gorjuss Day

Wow can you believe it is April already?

Today I have a Gorjuss card to share with you all......I love Gorjuss images I have to say. I bought the Do-Crafts Ultimate kit when on holiday from The Range and it is jammed packed with Gorjuss stuff...
I LURVS it.

I embossed my background using Diesire embossalicious 6" x 6" Lattice folder

The doily is cut using my fabulous new Tonic Doily die...I love these and great value for money

I have used a round topper, border and I cut out the butterfly from the backing card of  one of the topper sheets...waste not want not :)

 A very good afternoon from a stormy island today....Jack and i were nearly blown away when coming home from Nursery....Jack saved me however he told my daughter at luch time that i saved him from blowing away LOL love wee ones at that age....very funny. 

Todays card is another Me to You or do you call them Tatty Teddies? To be honest i call them both, depends on my mood....tomorrrow i will share a picture of my huge Tatty that sits on my bed....but for today its a card.....

I love making white on white cards....Swiss Dots and Snowflakes embossing folders by cuttlebug and scored lines for effect...the Tatty Teddy is from the A4 Winter Wonderland Ultimate Decoupage and die cut lit by Do ~ Crafts

42 Sleeps.........Excited Muchly!

 The big Crimbo push is still on here at "The House at Pooh Corner" (for newbies visiting this is what I call my house) and I am using up stash that has been hidden away since last year. Todays card is from the  Me To You Ultimate Decoupage kit from Do ~ Crafts

This is just one of the smaller circular toppers and I have mounted it onto a doily. 

The papers are also from the kit.....the pom pom ribbon is from Sew Sweet

I have had another busy weekend however things are now slowing down....phew. Just the Craft Fayres to go and then start organising for Christmas...wrapping the pressies and writing the cards

Less is More

 A very good afternoon and as promised I am back with a CAS card for this weeks

 LESS IS MORE challenge. 

We have a sketch to follow this week.

 I am extremely embarrassed about the amount of stash I have...while tiding today i have found

stash that i didn't realise i had...I NEED to use it all up...I can't bare to waste things so with my up coming Craft Fayres this is the perfect opportunity to get it all used up.

These adorable images are from the Me To You Ultimate Decoupage Kit...I bought this time last year...I still have at least half of it left...oops! I cuttlebugged down the edge using Snowflakes embossing folder!

And here is the efforts of todays tiding....I really must get some nicer storage baskets....

and here is the other side... after the New Year

 I am going to invest in this system for ALL my pens..

and this is only my Spectrum Noir pens I have loads of Promarkers too

Wellington Bear

 A very good evening....it has been a glorious day here on the island! Jack and I were at the beach and had a fabulous time. 

for those who know me well know how much i love my bears....I have a new love for this old bear Wellington by Do ~ Crafts. I love the Ultimate Decoupage Packs that Do~Crafts offer with the new ranges that they release....it is always jammed packed. so here is my first creation with Wellington Bear.

I have used backing paper from the pack and pierced holes around the edge and then added faux stitching for effect and then adhered to Kraft card. I attached a punched border of Kraft before I added my Decoupage panel

the sentiment is also from the pack. Hope you like my creation today and I hope i have inspired you in some way!

 I adore all things Me To You  / Tatty Teddy and I have a huge M2Y Bear that sits on my bed...I was asked to make a couple of cards for someones daughter who is turning 13 on Saturday.....this is one of the cards and she was delighted with it...phew always a worry when you are making cards for others to give!

 The card base is Centura Pearl folded to A5 size

I have used a decoupage from the Me To You Ultimate kit

which is mounted on an embossed panel using BP Female 2 Embossing folder

  from Crafters Companion

Mounted on Spellbinders Floral Oval

The sentiment is by Waltzingmouse Stamps a set called Compact Family

If you have never used WM stamps I can highly recommend them.....

Forever Friends

 Another post from me today.....and an update on my Slimming World Journey......I lost 1 lb today gaining my half stone award....woooohoooooo......i am delighted to say the least! Everyone has been so encouraging anf thanks to you all its keeps me going,

I adore Forever Friends and when I was asked to make 2 baby cards one was for the grandparents so i got out my fabulous Forever Friends CD Rom.

gingham paper again is from PINK PETTICOAT...I have embossed a panel using Papermania Yachts folder i think this is the first time i have used this and it really is super. the decoupage as i have said is from the CD. I made bunting with the PP paper....the alphabet stickers are by American Crafts and DCWV which I coloured using Promarkers to get the desired colours as they were white!

Me To You ~ Tatty Teddy

Happy Friday peeps and Thank Crunchie its Friday been one of those weeks you want to forget. A funeral and we are having new flooring put in our bedroom so everything is out new laminate floor is down and just getting ready to put it all back....what a job thank goodness for helping hands!

Anyhoo todays card is using Tatty Teddy i adore these decoupage cuties from Do-Crafts I bought the new Spring CD Rom and was having a proper look last night and it is full to the brim I love it!

 I have used PINK PETTICOAT gingham paper.....delish!! Love gingham and especially for baby cards it works so well. i cuttlebugged the back panel and then adhered my Me To You decoupage to it...i love the sweet dummies i had to buy both pink and blue they are adorable....I bought them at my local craft shop Cardwell Garden Centre Craft shop.

Me To You ~ Dad You're The Best

 Tatty Teddy card  today. This is a biggie and is A5 in size (A4 folded in half)

all items used on this card are from the Tatty Teddy A4 Ultimate Decoupage & die cut pack form Do-Crafts.  It makes 80 cards!! but to be honest i will get more than 80 cards out of it for sure.

I have inked the edges using a cats eye chalk ink and lots of layering going on too. the sentiment was long so I chopped it up and layered so i got the effect i was looking for! The letters also came in the pack!

 A very good morning...apologies for my absence...I now work Thursday & Fridays and I have an up coming table top sale so I'm beavering away in the background....I'm printing inserts this morning. Thank goodness for Crafters Companion CD roms makes doing inserts a pleasure.

Todays card is a Me To You decoupage that I recently bought great value for money i must admit.

 

A very straight forward card with clean lines. This style is my most popular card at the sales compared to the busy cards.

 I have added some doodling (love doing this) around the edges for effect.

Thanks to everyone sho joined in last weeks challenge. This week we are challenging you to make a Father's Day card. As our challenge this week is Father's Day I thought that this image was perfect. I have used my new Forever Friends CD rom and printed out this image 4 times to make a decoupage and papers. This CD rom is amazing and a must for any Forever Friends fan. It is jammed packed with amazing images, papers, decoupage and much more and all fabulous quality. Well worth the money in my humble opinion.

The letter were a bargain buy from Poundland they are just like thickers. They were purple so out came the stazon inkpad and I changed them to black to fit my colour scheme better.

Daisy & Dandelion - Hazels sketch

This week over on Daisy n Dandelion it’s a fab sketch by the lovely Hazel with option of recycling. I recycled the cream card from a shop bought one

I started this card when mum was here so finally added the finishing touches earlier.

We have had glorious weather again here today scorchio! the water was a calm as anything sparkling in the sun, simply beautiful. I was bowling this afternoon and got burned and I was applying sun cream every 20 mins :O I always think the sun tires you out too. So it’s early to bed for me to colour images I was going to do earlier before I decided to go bowling.

Fab examples from the D & D Design team, thanks as always for a super challenge. I missed the challenge last week so included circles on it too from last week

Daisy & Dandelion - Anything but a card

Another week gone and this weeks challenge on Daisy and Dandelion is “Anything but a Card” the DT have made some fabby creations, thanks for inspiration. Well I have used my new Marshmallow does DIY. I just love this adorable chappy as before my gorgeous hubby was diagnosed with FM his trade he was a CHIPPY (joiner) so this stamp was a must to have. Although I was always the last person to anything done by him lol.

I have decoupaged Marshmallow for effect. Thats’s what I love about stamps you can do loads with them. Shop bought embellies are gone when you put them on the card, with stamps you can creat to your hearts content.

Well I have had Jack this morning and all day yesterday. He had his 6 week check up at the docs this morning so off he went with gran (that’s me ) and grampa. We stopped in at the library and he had his first tour lol and I picked up “Eclipse” and took back the other 2 books. So i’m off for a quick read at my book, a wee cuppa with my feet up on the couch as I’m bushed. Babysitting is exhausting. Thanks for stopping by and have a fab day.
