The Sugar Bowl #49 ~ Maria Therese Sketch

A very good morning peeps. Thursday again wow I can't believe that the days and weeks are flying by.

It's SUGAR BOWL TIME

Fabulous entries from our last challenge, thank you for playing along. This time we have another fantastic sketch by the lovely Maria Therese  and the option is SNOWFLAKES. Hmmm quite apt at the moment don't ya think. This girls sketch's rock and I loved this one and I wasn't scared either I was a brave girl lol. For those who don't know sketches scare me...just a tad.

We have an amazing prize for you again this time.

A set of Lili of the Valley round sentiments stamp set,
Circle Nesties and
6 Sugar Nellie stamps

WOW! No one does prizes like SUGAR NELLIE but remember you have to be in it to win it!

I have used this fabby snowman Snow Cozy and coloured him using promarkers. I quite fancy the Aquamarkers, have you tried them...what do you think of them?. Any info would be appreciated. Anyway the papers I think are by Papermania I received them in a RAK last year. If you know the name I would appreciate it thanks. I have inked around the edges with a chalk inkpad.

I dug out my fiskars threading water punch for a change and used the snowflakes cuttlebug folder. I've added a few punched snowflakes and dotted stardust stickles randomly for some sparkle.

Please pop by and take a look at my fellow sweeties creations and leave them some love. You have a little longer to join in this time as our next challenge will be posted on 30th December. Thank for dropping by I hope you have a great day! Stay warm..... Ali x

All That Stash

As I have been raiding through my stash moving it into the cupboard I an still finding thinkgs that I forgot I had.
The images on this card are from a kit I bought last year from Create and Craft. the images are beautifull and were actually tags however I wanted circles so out came the punches.

A fairly simple card but makes a statement. Clean and simple lines and colour.

Some embossing using Cuttlebug swiss dots folder and a border using my Fiskars Threading water punch some satin ribbon to finish. The sentiment was generated on the computer then cut out using Stampin Up scalloped oval and oval punches.

Thanks for taking the time to visit today I'll be back with another post later on tonight!

Cuttlebug Be Inspired #16 - Distressed

CUTTLEBUG BE INSPIRED #16

Thank you to everyone who took part in last weeks challenge it was fab to visit all your lovely blogs and see the wonderful talent that is out there. So on to this weeks Challenge........

"Create a card that is Distressed"

Yip us cuttlebug girls want to see you distressing your card. You could use a distress tool, sand it, you choose and just let your creativity flow. I love this card I have made because I think it so way out for me, it was fun to make and lets face it that is what it is all about. "Having Fun". Please check out my fellow DT creations you will not be dissapointed they are a very talented bunch of ladies.

A wee close up of the flower. The flower is made using 5 cut and emboss Hearts however I embossed the hearts using textile embossing folder and then I sanded it with a medium sandpaper. I inked over the embossing and around the edges with close to cocoa. The center of the flower is a cuttlebug circle die and embossed using swiss dots. The leave is also a heart that has been scored and inked using Old Olive. The gingham paper has been distressed around the edges by ripping and then curling in a cocktail stick before inking the edges with CTC. There is a border at the top but quite hard to see which has been edged with threading water punch and embossed using swiss dots. I made the tag from some spare card doodled the edge and sentiment. A huge ribbon and bow to finish and voila. What do you think? I did warn you it was not for the faint hearted lol. Have a fab day see you tomorrow, i will be lunching with my friend Linda so I will schedule a wee post for you. Toodles.
