Happy 2nd Birthday Jack ~ Ka Chow

Happy Birthday to Jack, Happy Birthday to Jack, Happy Birthday handsome monkey Happy Birthday to you!!!!
I can't believe that today is my adorable grandson Jacks second birthday! My how time flies. 2 years ago my gorgeous daughter had the most terrible time while in labour (for a week) she went non responsive in the labour suite and then Jack was struggling and she had to have an emergency section! I am truly blessed and very thankful for my faith as the big guy himself kept them both safe. I have never been so scared in all my life as I was this day 2 years ago. I was also the first person to hold Jack. No skin contact though and I held him over to Kirstin as he was screaming his lungs off LOL she stroked his face with the tears running down hers and then Jack and I were whisked away as complications occurred during the section so Kirstin had to be knocked out completely and work carried out as her bowel kept collapsing. Boy was it a relief to see her in recovery. But that was then and this is now! All is well and Jack is a happy climbing wee monkey at the moment we have the odd terrible 2 moment but on the whole he is great. He is mad on CARS if I had a pound for every time he says Car, Cars, Truck,Van in a day I'd be loaded lol. Anyway here is his card

Yup the movie CARs is his favourite at the moment and I must admit I do enjoy watching it too and seeing his wee face light up.
I have used DCWV papers and all card stock is from The Papeterie
The Letter are Forever Friends these really are super.
Martha Stewart Zig-Zag punch and some card candi.
The card is A5

I normally have Jack on a Tuesday however he is with his daddy this morning and I will take over at lunch to let daddy go back to work. We are having a small family get together later so I'll go up and prepare all the goodies.
Thank you for listening to my story this morning
Whatever your plans for today...enjoy!

Penny Black Saturday

Evening all , my I'm late posting today. I watch my adorable Grandson Jack fulltime now so I'm not around during the day. The weather here I Scotland is awful today. My youngest has had to stay on the mainland tonight due to the roads being closed she couldn't get home so has gone to her grans for the evening to be spoiled rotten I expect.
This evenings card is for the fabby challenge over on Penny Black Saturday....don't you just love this challenge. The DT produce stunning creations week after week, I love drooling over their work.

I have used this cute image from Jolly Follies clear stamp set and coloured the image using a mixture of copics and promarkers. The gingham paper is by Cuddly Buddly This is a fairly CAS style card which if you're a regular reader of my blog you will know is my favourite of all the styles.

Here is a wee close-up for you. I'm loving my copics at the moment and using my promarkers more too although when the promarkers run dry I will be changing to copics I really do prefer them better as they blend a dream.

Well I better get a move on and get the dishes done as the dish washer is at her grans he he.
Then it's back to creating those Crimbo cards.

Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Thanks for stopping by!

Penny Black ~ Spooky Nights

Well as promised I am back with my Penny Black Saturday Challenge card. the theme this week is "Spooky Nights" and the PB girlies have came up trumphs again with their designs.

I have used black and Orange Stampin up cardstock and I have embossed the black using Tiny bubbles cuttlebug embossing folder this really does give a fabulous effect. The Happy Halloween and Spiders web stamps are Snag Ems perfect for the job which I won in a giveaway by Steph on Stamping & Sharing last year also included were the charms, and this fabby Martha Stewart ribbon which already has the DSST on the back and you just peel off the backing.

Aren't those charms fab? The brads are by doodlebug....I'm being good still using up stash making room for more lol although I have decided that quality if far better than quantity.
Well thats it from me today...I have had a very productive morning getting ahead of my DT work. I love being organised :D. We are off out for dinner up to the newly weds really looking forward to it and getting to see Jack. Enjoy the rest of the day whatever you are doing.

Clean & Simple (CAS)
White, Blue & 1 other colour
Add punched elements

Isn't he just the cutest Snowman you have ever seen?

I have coloured the snowman using Prismacolor pencils as I wanted a soft subtle effect

I have added Flowersoft at his feet to make it look like snow.
I add the glue first, then the flowersoft on top and then sprinkle with glamour dust to finish so that it sparkles like snow.

I have used my Martha Stewart branch punch (love this) and layered the branches to make a tree effect then I brushed Stickles on to this which makes it curl up... very effective I think

SCS Sugar Nellie Challenge

Over on Splitcoast Stampers Sugar Nellie forum the lovely Zoe sets us Sugar Nellie addicts a wee challenge. A new challenge was set today for a Clean & Simple (CAS) card. I love making CAS cards I love the freshness of this style. This was my kinda style before blogging influenced me and I brought in the busy, layers style of cardmaking. Anyway here is my efforts for the challenge. Why not pop over and join us....there is room for more.

Now ok I know I'm not supposed to making cards as the stash is packed away mmmmm I went raiding  and hubby caught me and asked what I was doing??!!
I replied ~ " My name is Alison and I am a cardmaking, Sugar Nellie addict" :D
Anyway I used Daisy and coloured her using my prismacolor pencils I think I may have used a couple of Polychromos too. I used my circle nestie and the tan mat to emboss the circle around Daisy.
Well that really is all from me just now. I promise not to stay away too long.
TTFN.

The Sugar Bowl #32 ~ A sketch by you

A very good morning to one and all. Today is my gorgeous hubbies birthday. Happy Birthday, mwaaaah. We are off bowling in a bit....I think I'll let him win today as it's his birthday
The challenge on The Sugar Bowl this time is to choose a sketch that you like from previous Sugar Bowl challenges. I chose this one from challenge 20 by the lovely Yummy Mummy herself Gayle :D

I have used this scrummy cutie called Chick-A-Dee she is adorable.

I have coloured Chick-A-Dee with my promarkers, still need more practise but I'm getting there I think. The paper is DCWV and barely banana card stock yum yum. I have used my MS Doily punch today for a change. The flowers are from my stash and the leaves are a Woodware punch.

This card is for my daughters easter no fear of her reading my blog so she won't see it  Well that's it from me today...please remember the clocks go forward one hour tonight. If you're traveling to NEC have fun..and a safe journey. See you in the morning for Just Cute Bears. TTFN.
