Less is More ~ Sketch

 Happy Sunday peeps....lots  going on her just now with samples and last minute touches to the Wedding Invites the inserts :O).....however I took a break to make this week LESS IS MORE card. ITs a fabby sketch but you are not allowed to rotate it in any way.

Here is my interpretation of the sketch

 I have used a Darice embossing folder from Crafters Companion and added a wide ribbon as my band on the sketch. this is recycled ribbon from Christmas...I never throw anything away lol.
I added a few gems for the bodies of the butterflies :O) The sentiment is by Stampin Up from Vintage Labels set.

 I have to admit this really is my favourite style of cardmaking.......I'm a CAS kinda girl :O)

I have used a couple of the stamps and CD Rom from the bundle to create something special for a very special lady for her Birthday. Be warned this is a picture heavy post so I'll keep my words short.

My Tri-fold Zig Zag Creation...

I have listed all ingredients for this creation at the end of the post :O)

Here is the front with the removable tag...i have inked around all the edges with brown ink to give the papers definition!

The inside with tag....I cut out hearts from red felt from Sew Sweet. The embossed hearts were created using my ULTIMATE PRO

Humphrey has been stamped on Neenah Card and coloured using Spectrum Noir Pens and Twinkling H2Os

Flowers ~ CR 8, CR 10, CR 11 

Twinkling H2O ~ Poppy Red

Leaves/Grass ~ CG 1, CG2

Don't be afraid to experimant with  colouring mediums...Twinkling H2Os are perfect for adding on top of your Speccies :O)

Sugar Sweet Sugar

 A very good crafternoon peeps yip I've  been creating this morning I coloured one of my new Sugar Nellie stamps the other night in bed and was desperate to make it into a card. Over on facebook the lovely Fiona has started up the weekly Sugar Fix challenge for us Sugar Babes :O) Ohhh I do have a Sweet tooth :O) and the challenge was a colour combo of Blue, Green and White.

Here is my interpretation

 I have used the current SUGAR BOWL sketch and rotated it. 

I stamped Fifi Goes Shopping using Memento Ink and coloured using a mixture of Prisma, Polychromos and Caran D'Ache pencils. I added a cloud background using a scrap piece of card cut into a cloud shape and then stencilled using Bashful Blue ink as i felt the background was rather bare and I'm really pleased with the result! Stampin up papers and card from The Papeterie...

Waltzingmouse Blog Party

Afternoon peeps well today being the 17th it's time for Waltzingmouse Blog Party it is a little different now from the Waltz and you can read all the deets over on the Waltzingmouse Blog

The Party theme this month is "Sweet Things"

I have used my Eat Cake stamp set and stamped using Stampin Up ink. I have added a doily and a Marabou feather. While having my clear out i am finding things in my stash I forgot I had so you will be seeing lots more feathers from me.

The papers are by Stampin Up as is the border punch. I also found the black gems I forgot I had....Some delish black gingham ribbon to finish and voila!

Apologiies for the rubbish pictures roll on the lighter days and nights :O)

Less is More ~ One Layer Birds

 Happy Sunday Peeps...well what a day..I am currently making Wedding Invitations and put the gems in a safe place..... all 1000 of them and can I find them grrrrrrrr...so I decided to have a break and make my LESS IS MORE card for this week...The theme being Birds.

Here is my interpretation......

 I inked up my stamps using Whispers pens with the pink and green and then used the huffing technique before I stamped my image. The Birdcage stamp was inked with SU marker and then I drew in the line for the rope. I added 3 embossed lines using my Ultimate Pro

Less is More

 Happy Tuesday peeps......My Mojo seems to have done a disappearing act and i really did need to get myself motivated so I decided to start with a CAS card! 

The first challenge of 2012 over on LESS IS MORE is Predominately Purple....boy are Chrissie and Mandy challenging us this week lol.

I have used my fabulous Darice embossing folder from Crafters Companion

These folder give an amazing emboss and fab value for money too in my opinion.

I have punched a white border using Fiskars border punch and embossed lines using my Ulitimate Pro

 I added pearls over the holes of the punched border for a different look....I quite like it. I am trying to use up stash.......as now I have to cut back due to storage issues until my youngest flies the nest anyway lol.

I am also entering this into Let's Craft and Create
this is my first time entering this challenge and I intend to make it a regular of mine in the future weeks ahead.
their theme this fortnight is butterflies.

I am currently making Wedding Invitations so its all go at the moment I have a production line going so no stress this time around :O)

Humphrey's Corner

 Morning peeps....today hubby and I will be traveling home from our wee holiday down south. So this is the last of my scheduled posts for you.........Last year when CRAFTER'S COMPANION launched Humphrey's Corner I fell in love instantly...He really is adorable.

 Humphrey is coloured again using my Spectrum Noir pens and the papers are from the Humphreys Corner CD Rom.....this CD Rom is full to the brim with delishesness :O)

I have cuttlebuged a Kraft Core'dinations panel using Argyle embossing folder and behind Humphrey is Script embossing folder also by cuttlebug.

Some twine and doodling to finish off and voila.

Let's Celebrate with Popcorn

 Happy Monday peeps.......did you have a fabulous time yesterday? I still can't believe we are now in 2012...seems like only yesterday we were celebrating the Millenium...boy does time fly. Treasure every minute I say......
Todays card is a favourite of mine from the Popcorn Kids range by CRAFTER'S COMPANION this is called Celebrate which is perfect for the time of year......and would also be perfect for these Happy New Year cards if you need any.....

I have gone for my interpretation of Love as in a Mother Love.

I have used Two Bad Mice stamp set and coloured using the amazing Spectrum Noir pens.

The papers are from A Tale of Two Bad Mice CD Rom

I doodled around the edge of the image for effect....some delish ribbon and a couple of gems and voila!
