Less is More #11 ~ Acetate

It's been a very busy morning here in The House At Pooh Corner the carpet fitter arrived at 8.30 to fit Emma's bedroom carpet. Wow by 9.15 he was gone. This is one happy Pooh bear this morning although now everything needs to go back in the room. While the carpet was being fitted I decided to make my LESS IS MORE card for this week using Acetate now I know why i don't have alot of this stuff in the stash it drives me mad. Eventually I am happy with my card.

I never normally struggle with CAS cards but this was definately a challenge for me this morning. I have used my new Sizzix embossing folder Victorian Wallpaper from Stampin Up and the stamped frame is also by Stampin up. I  cut out the butterfly using Pretty in Pink and then in Acetate too. I then embossed the acetate butterfly.
I added Pearl pen in the centre of the butterfly note to self let it dry before you take a picture of it roflol, not to worry.

Don't forget to pop by and leave Chrissie and Mandi some love. Thanks for all who took the time to visit me last week and leave a comment it is very much appreciated. I look forward to visitng you all this week.

Better start getting the furniture back in the room now it's gonna be a looong day.

Whatever your plans are for today.....enjoy

Superb card as ever Ali, even if you and acetate aren't best buddies. This looks amazing.
I can see that Stampin' Up is doing well out of your obsession with cardmaking!
Love the new stuff you have here!

Ali - this is lovely. It's such a hard challenge, and you've done a super job. I like the butterfly, I think I'd have used gems on the butterfly!

You're a fast worker doing all that texture making and die cutting in such a short space of time. What a beautiful gentle feel this has.

I love the smell of new carpet, don't you? They should make a shake and vac called 'new carpet smell' like you can get at the car valet place.

very elegant card - and yes I always take pictures the minute I have finished a card, and then cringe just a little bit when I see wet glue! Its a lovely card and gotta love a butterfly

Rosietoes said...

I'm the devil for taking pics before the glue has set Alison so a little glossy pearl finish is no bother. :)

Guess what I managed to buy this morning? ... Yep the Cuttlebug butterfly set for half price. Happy dance time.

Love the card, that embossing folder is awesome. It doesn't look as if you struggled - it's all come together beautifully.

Brilliantly original Ali - I don't like acetate either & I've never tried it in the cuttlebug. You've got me thinking.
Take care with putting the furniture back.

Gorgeous card - that acetate embossed really well - Love it.

I'm also awful for taking my pics before everything dries - and it always looks so much worse in the photo's than in real life!!! ;)

Thanks for visiting my blog - I really appreciate it :)
