Sugar Nellie DT ~ To Remember

Good afternoon what an awful day here on the island yuck. As promised I'm back with my first Design Team project for Sugar Nellie. I was uber excited when my package arrived the other day from Karen and I couldn't wait to get started wow I didn't know which stamp to use first lol.
I have chosen "To Remember" by Leanne Ellis.
I love this stamp and when they were first previewed Karen mentioned that they would look brill embossed.....and she wasn't wrong either!

It has been an age since I got the embossing powders and heat gun out.....I forgot how fun it was lol
I stamped To Remember in versamark and then heat embossed using gold embossing powder.

I coloured the flower in her hair using Twinkling H2Os. The ribbon was left overs from the wedding I have a full real of it. Better to have too much than run out lol. The brads are Papermania.

The flower was made using a Tim Holtz die which I think goes perfect with the Textile embossing folder I have used on the bottom of the card.
Candles are so much fun to make here is how I made my candle....

I stamped the image on to tissue paper using Brilliance copper inkpad  and heat set. I cut around the image leaving a small border. Place the tissue paper on the candle and wrapped greaseproof paper around the entire candle. You MUST hold this on to the candle tightly. Heat the image using your heat gun, this melts the wax underneath. The tissue paper sinks into the melted wax. Let the wax dry...then remove the greaseproof paper and voila your image is now on your candle.

I made another flower to match and added the ribbon which I think finishes it off perfecty.

I'm entering this into the following challenges ~

Our Creative Corner ~ Let's Play Dress Up
Anything Goes Challenge ~ Eyelets/Brads
Moving Along With The Times ~ Make your Dreams Come True

I apologise for the quality of my pictures.....its very dull here today so I am using my light tent. I'm still learning with my camera too but hopefully I will get better as the weeks go on.
Thanks for stopping by......
Whatever you are doing today......enjoy! Ali x

Absolutely FABULOUS work darling!! I love doing candles, and made one for my daughter for Christmas with her wedding photo on - they only got married at the end of October, so she was chuffed to bits.

Stunning - love the different embossing techniques & the matching candle is a beauty. This is so regal with the colours & that flower is a dream on the ribbon. Love the placing at an angle too - so classy.
