Sugar Nellie DT ~ Simply Adorable Grace Altered Box

Afternoon peeps....... wow two posts in one day.....I better go lie down after this..... roflol. I have been working on this little project for a few days now. I have wanted to try and alter this little box for a while now.
I am extremely pleased with how it has turned out and I hope that you like it too.

I started by staining around the edges of the box using Weathered Wood Tim Holtz distress ink.

I measured by design paper from Anna Griffin and adhered each section individually using wet glue....I use Arlenes quick dry tacky glue. I also adhere the ribbon around the lid of the box with this glue and added a bow with botton to finish it off.

I'm really loving these new Simply Adorable stamps and digis by Sugar Nellie. I stamped my image Grace using versafine onyx black onto watercolour paper and coloured using a mixture of Distress Inks, Inkadinks and Aqua Markers. If you are lucky to have a variety of mediums try mixing and experimenting, there are no RULES in crafting. I have decorated the top of the box making Grace the central feature and  then by adding Prima flowers and Martha Stewart punched elements around for added character.

The box is empty at the moment lol but it will be winging it's way to someone special very shortly. I want it to be a surprise so sorry not saying who it is that is getting  my creation just yet....lol....will it be YOU?

The challenge over on Papertake Weekly this week is "Ribbons & Pearls" fabby creations from the DT as always and the girls from Spoonful of Sugar are asking for "Blue & Green" and last but certainly not least  it's "Anything Goes" over on Stamp Something

My first post from today can be seen HERE

Thanks for dropping by....catch up soon
