Simply Gorjuss

A very good afternoon peeps, hope you are all in fine spirits today. Today's card is for the fabby challenge over on

The sweeties have excelled themselves yet again with fabby creations using the sketch provided by the lovely Judy.

Now this morning when I started this card i thought how can I make a CAS card using a sketch. Well yes I think I have achieved this no problem.

A sketch is a wonderful starting point for a card if you  struggle with your mojo sometimes. The Sugar Bowl always provide fabulous sketches and fabulous inspiration from a talented team of girlies. Anyhoo I digress ....back to my card. Simple lines doodled around the edge of the card defines the layer on the sketch. I have used my fabby Gorjuss stamp Little Goth Girl and I have watercoloured her using a mixture of mediums. Distress Inkpads, H2Os & SU inkpad.

I have used a mixture of nesties and Nellie Choice dies to create my focal point of the sketch. I embossed the white small square using Fantasy Flower before I popped my image on using dimensionals.

TOP TIP ~ When cutting out your image leave a small border around the image and it acts like a halo effect and makes your image stand out.

Well that's all from me today folks. I have visitors arriving this week for next weeks wedding. Saturday is the Hen Night and second Stag do .....naughty boys having 2 lol. All of the girlies are going out as Pink Ladies. So its all go go go..... hopefully catch up soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin hugs

Beautiful card Ali.
Very CAS and very striking too, shows the image off perfectly.
Thanks for your lovely comments and also for the comment left on the Sugar nellie blog, very much appreciated. I was really nervous submitting my first dt card.
Apologies for my absence, we still have no internet at home (from last Wednesday evening!) so I've popped on blogger at work, don't want everyone to think I'm ignoring them!

Love Elaine xx
