Sugar Bowl # 24 ~ Marlene's Sketch

A very good afternoon it is balltic here today to say the least. I'm frozen to the bone...Hope you are warm where you are...

Can you believe that today is the last day of November. Scary... I am posting Christmas cards tomorrow and I haven't even finished making them.

Today's card is for the fabby Challenge over at

A fabulous sketch by Marlene with "please Include" being Zig Zag.

I'm ashamed to say I don't take part in this challenge as often as I should. As I own loads of Sweet Sugar stamps. To be honest sometimes I feel embarrased I don't have the latest stamps to take part with and that people don't want to see old ones and sketches scare me too lol. I know I'm being daft but pennies are really tight and I just can't afford to buy all the latest stamps. I am making a huge effort though to join in from now and give the sketches a bash.
I have used one of my favourite stamps from the Gorjuss Range. I have coloured her with my prismacolor pencils.

My zig zag is on Gorjuss girls dress at the bottom, (not sure if this qualifies or not.....) there are also zig zag shapes on the cuttlebug embossing folder too.

I was inspired my the lovely Lillians card.

Here is a wee close up for you.

I'm starting to panic now that I don't have enough cards etc for my sale on Saturday. I have gone into overdrive and will be creating like fury from now till Friday night. Not good for me as I will be snowed under although good for you as i will have lots to post. I hope you will pop by for a look.

*Yes I know, I know the blog background has changed "again" but my pictures are now bigger for you so I'm alot happier.*

Stop pressuring yoruself to keep up with the newest stamps!!! Your work is stunning - and your customers won't have a clue what is a newest, must have stamp or one that is 10 years old - it's new to them! I must admit I prefer seeing older stamps used as it gives me more ideas of what to do with mine. Plus to me it shows even more talent (which I know you have in buckets) as you have to think harder how to make them look different each time!

You're going to have a great time posting cards you haven't made yet then!:P Good luck for Saturday!

Hi Ali! Your card is just AWESOME! Love the real winter effect! You and I are on the same boat with using old images. Not to worry, they're still as gorgeous as the new ones ;)
Thanks for joining the SB challenge and hope to see you in the next one too! Have a wonderful day and good luck on Saturday!
