Cuttlebug Be Inspired #16 - Distressed

CUTTLEBUG BE INSPIRED #16

Thank you to everyone who took part in last weeks challenge it was fab to visit all your lovely blogs and see the wonderful talent that is out there. So on to this weeks Challenge........

"Create a card that is Distressed"

Yip us cuttlebug girls want to see you distressing your card. You could use a distress tool, sand it, you choose and just let your creativity flow. I love this card I have made because I think it so way out for me, it was fun to make and lets face it that is what it is all about. "Having Fun". Please check out my fellow DT creations you will not be dissapointed they are a very talented bunch of ladies.

A wee close up of the flower. The flower is made using 5 cut and emboss Hearts however I embossed the hearts using textile embossing folder and then I sanded it with a medium sandpaper. I inked over the embossing and around the edges with close to cocoa. The center of the flower is a cuttlebug circle die and embossed using swiss dots. The leave is also a heart that has been scored and inked using Old Olive. The gingham paper has been distressed around the edges by ripping and then curling in a cocktail stick before inking the edges with CTC. There is a border at the top but quite hard to see which has been edged with threading water punch and embossed using swiss dots. I made the tag from some spare card doodled the edge and sentiment. A huge ribbon and bow to finish and voila. What do you think? I did warn you it was not for the faint hearted lol. Have a fab day see you tomorrow, i will be lunching with my friend Linda so I will schedule a wee post for you. Toodles.

  • Cuttlebug Dies - Cut and Emboss Hearts set, Circles set
  • Cuttlebug Embossing - Textile, Swiss dots
  • Punch - Fiskars Threading water
  • DP and ribbon from stash
  • Ink - Stampin Up Close to Cocoa, Old Olive

A fabulous event this weeknd involving loads of things to see and win so why not join us for our Love Bug Weekend I promise you it will be full of inspiration. Why not join in with our DT blog hop too.
