Clean and Simple

Over on Sugarnellie Mrs Mac set a wee challenge to see some cards that have a more CAS "Clean and Simple" feel to them. This used to be my "Style" before I started blogging. I believe that blog hopping has very much influenced my card making style there are just so many fabulous talented ladies out there. I know times change etc, however I feel I have just woke up one morning and wham I make busy cards. With the credit crunch and all will we continue to buy lots of embellishments for our cards? I know since yesterday I have been having a think about this. I just don't have the funds now to go mad. i will be looking at my cards in a different light from now on. I will be starting to make my own embellishments as I think I would rather keep what money I do have for lots more stamps, punches and ribbon. I love ribbon can you tell lol, I love stamps too just incase you didn't know. I have also recently been buying downloads of papers and I am very impressed with the quality, Cuddlybuddly, Funkyhand and Pink Petticoat to name a few. I buy packs of paper from shops just because i like one or two of the papers then I am left with loads of papers I know I will never use I am the only person like this? Anyway I will be saving my pennies for "Rubba" Jings that was a rant eh. Anyway I will leave you with Daisy, Clean and Simple Daisy. Coloured using my trusty prismacolor pencils, a wee bit of the bug and some gingham ribbon. Hope you like.

Thank you for taking the time to drop in. I'm off out to lunch today for a good old chin wag with my buddy Linda *Waving madly a puter* (she will be checking the blog before she leaves to meet me) See you all soon, toodles.

*I have been given some lovely awards and been tagged too so will sort this out later today. Thanks for thinking of me girls.*

Hi, I agree, I have decided that I have to use up older things instead of just buying some new stuff. I have a cupboard full of crafty things so I don't need more. (Or so I keep telling myself) Love the card, it is very "CAS" Hope you had a great lunch, Hazel xox

Hi Alison love the card I have this image and isn't she just beautiful. Oh by the way I have tagged you. The rules are that you go to your 6th folder and choose the 6th picture and give an explanation of that picture then choose 6 more blogs to tag.

Great card alison! I love the way Daisy takes centre stage! I agree with you...I must be so careful with what I buy that CAS might just be the way to go. Easy to say but hard to do. Blogging has influenced my card making so much as well. My friend today said she liked my cards when i just had 3 flowers in the middle and nothing else..Gasp! Horror!

You are totally right! I've been going a little OTT with my cards of late and I was thinking I need to get 'back to basics'. You've shown that a beautiful card needn't be about flowers & embellishments - your card is just perfect!!
Peace & love
