Good morning everyone and here we are another week gone by. Wednesday is ABC day and what fabulous creations we had last week you all liked making cards for a child. Thank you so much to everyone who played along last week and also a warm welcome to any new creators joining in for the first time. I love visiting all your blogs and seeing your scrummy creations.
Another letter of the alphabet gone so now we are on to "D" so what is D for then?
"D" is For "DISTRESSING"
- Stamp - Gorjuss Girl by Sugarnellie, freebie stamps from mag
- Ink - Close to Cocoa SU, Versacolor Umber
- Card size - 6" square
- Technique - Lyra crayons and waterbrush
- Papers - Anna Griffin
- Envelope punch - Woodware
- Cuttlebug - Script embossing folder
Get out your distress inks, sandpaper, files you name it and get distressing that card. i have embossed my tag with script cuttlebug folder and then sanded it with some sandpaper and inked over the top with a versacolor inkpad. I inked around the edges of my paper and tag too with Close to cocoa. the swirls were from a freebie stamp set in a magazine and I randomly stamped a few on the paper around the edges for effect. I have added a marabou feather behind the tag, scrummy. My Gorjuss girl is coloured using my Lyra crayons and a waterbrush and then cut out. All the other embellishments are from my stash. This card is for my mum for Mother's day so I will be making a box for it. Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your distressed cards. Have a super day.
Only one more sleep to the SECC :)
